A new study published in Human Factors reveals a 25% performance boosts from debriefs.
Scott Tannenbaum and Chris Cerasoli of gOE published a meta-analysis in the Human Factors journal that reveals the power of debriefs. During a debrief, team members reflect upon a recent experience(s), discuss what went well and identify opportunities for improvement. This meta-analysis, which statistically combined results from 46 prior samples, showed that debriefs boost performance by an average of 20 to 25% – a sizeable enhancement for a relatively easy and low-cost intervention.
